Christian: Making His Family Proud and Pursuing Passionate Goals

Christian successfully completed the Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship and is now a Diplomatic Technology Officer (DTO) in the Foreign Service. The DTO role was formerly the Information Management Specialist role. His first post is the U.S. Embassy Bogota, Colombia. As a FAIT Fellow, Christian earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Data Analytics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at Texas A&M International University.

In this video interview, Christian shares his experience as a FAIT Fellow, including his summer domestic internship at the Department of State and his overseas internship at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. He also gives great advice for those thinking about applying for the program.

“It’s a really great program and you should really look into it,” says Christian. “It brought me opportunities that I would have never been able to find otherwise and to meet people that I likewise would not have been able to meet otherwise. It’s amazing.”
